Brief introduction
Nanjing Dongda Self-Balanced Pile Foundation Testing Co., Ltd., known as DDSB, originated from Southeast University (DongNanDaXue, simplified as Dongda). DDSB has a team of experts in geotechnical engineering, including Professors, PH. Ds, experienced engineers and skilled workers.
As developed by Prof. Gong Weiming, DDSB’s bi-directional static load testing (also known as O-cell load testing) has been used in pile test since 1996, and it was named Self- balanced method in China (by Prof. Gong). In China, the company was the first to research and adopt the bi-directional method, and currently excels at it.
DDSB is a specialized foundation testing company established primarily by faculty members from Southeast University. Leveraging the resources of Southeast University's bi-directional Testing Technology Center, originally established in 1992 as the Southeast University Underground Engineering Research Center. The company focuses on underground structural engineering research, and the key areas include pile foundation and ground improvement technologies, deep foundation pit engineering, and underground engineering monitoring techniques with analytical theories.

Technical team
The company employs over 30 technical professionals in geotechnical engineering, structural engineering, instrumentation, and related fields, and operates a dedicated factory for manufacturing load cells and data acquisition equipment. The company currently possesses over 30 sets of field and laboratory testing equipment, including load cells for bi-directional testing, bi-directional test data acquisition systems, high-pressure oil pumps, digital logging instruments for cast-in-place pile drilling, non-metallic ultrasonic detectors, geological drilling rigs, inclinometers, strain data acquisition systems, dynamic testing instruments.

The company's primary testing services include: foundation bearing capacity testing, static axial compressive load testing, high-strain dynamic testing, ultrasonic cross-hole testing, bi-directional static axial compressive load testing, lateral load testing, etc.
